The masthead in this magazine cover conforms that it should go the whole way across the page. Also the overlapping image of Amy Winehouse which is covering half of the “RollingStone” masthead suggests that this is a well-recognized magazine. The customer would be able to identify the title from the font style and position of the logo.
Amy Winehouse is the main focus on this cover, and the sub title which reads “The Diva & Her Demons” suggests that inside could be a revealing story. Alliteration has been used here with “Diva”, and “Demons”. These are 2 contrasting words which suggest she is rebellious yet at the same time has a gentle side. Her facial expression almost looks like she is thinking this too.
The cover overall is not very crowded, and has been kept quite simple. This is not rare for rolling stones however, as they are well established and already have a large audience.
In my opinion it is a magazine for people who are already familiar with it.
